It is, by nature, a complex subject, and one that will only yield to hours of organized study. On the other side, if you master it, can be rewarding jobs in the chemical industry, where you will meet many interesting people. Only you can decide if it is worth it. It was to me.

We covered 1100 pages of organic chem. I read it 5x. I should have studied more.

When you get on the job, they quickly see whether you are competent, ot not.

So spend the time, and get with friends, and get a chemical dictionary, or take another subject.

Physical chemistry is much harder, much more mathematically intense. Organic is the easiest.

I recommend staying with it. The web has tons of resources to help. I did it in 1970, with a book, Morrison and Boyd.

The second one will be really really helpful if you are a high school student. It is basically a second set of notes.
Reply:I know that "Silky Scents" has organic essential oils. They explain everything, and have pictures of each plant. You can google their name to find them online.
